Student Visa

Tier 4 (General) Student Visa

To apply for a Student Visa to study English language under Tier 4 (General) of the points based system, you must:

  • be applying to study full-time (at least 15 hours of organised study) on an English language course at or above Level B2 on the common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR); in our school, these are FCE, CAE, BEC, and IELTS,
  • be applying to a school which is on the register of Tier 4 sponsors,
  • receive a confirmation of acceptance for studies (CAS) from your Teir 4 sponsor (school), this is worth 30 points in the UKBA points assessment,
  • show that you have enough money to cover your course costs and living costs for the time that you want to spend in the UK, this is worth 10 points in the UKBA points assessment.
