Please see below for more information about our city:

Where is Brighton & Hove?

The city of Brighton & Hove, is located on the South coast of England just 80km from London, with the South Downs National Park to the north and the sea to the south.

Why is it called Brighton & Hove?

The city was created in 2000 from the two neighbouring towns of Brighton, and Hove, where the school is located.

Are Brighton and Hove different?

Hove is a residential part of the city but it has many shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Brighton is the more lively part of the city with theatres and nightclubs, but it is only 10 minutes from the school by bus.

How can I get to the school?

Brighton & Hove is a small city and the school is located near the centre. Many of our students walk to the school from their accommodation, some cycle, others take a bus. There are four bus stops within 50 meters of the school, and buses from almost every part of the city stop at them (buses numbers 1,1a,2,2a, 5,5a,5b,6, 46,49, 49a stop near our school). You can arrive at the school from most parts of the city in less than 20 minutes, and from the very end of the city in less than 40 minutes. There is a taxi rank opposite the school, but taxis can be expensive here.
The easiest way of travelling throughout Brighton and Hove is by bus. One trip ticket is £2.00 You can also buy city saver ticket for unlimited travel all day for £4.00. Weekly or monthly tickets are also available and you can buy them at 1Stop Travel, 16 Old Steine, Brighton. Also there are regular trains and coaches (visit www.nationalexpress.com) to London and other parts of the England.
Please see Brighton & Hove Buses website for more information on our local buses
Please see National Express website here for more information on national buses schedule
Please see National Rail website here for all the information about trains

Where can I stay?

The most popular, and best, place to stay is with a host family. You will have a room, either private or shared, in a local family’s house, and will have the choice of eating with the family or making your own meals. You can also stay in a hotel or in a room in a shared student house, but you will have to organise your own accommodation, although we will advise you on the best options.
If you wish to arrange accommodation by yourself, please ask at the reception for an advice.
You can find a room to rent, a flat to rent or even bed and breakfast or a hostel.
